Converting Bookings to Projects

Turn your client bookings into Studio projects in just a few clicks!

Written by Francisco

Once clients start booking sessions through your scheduling link, you can convert their bookings into projects. This keeps each client's session details in one place, so you can easily send contracts, questionnaires, invoices, and galleries from their project!

Let's walk through it!

Convert a Booking to a Project

Ready to get things rolling for a client? You can create a project right from their booking!

  1. From your Studio dashboard, click Scheduling in the left menu.

  2. On the Bookings page, find the client's session under the Upcoming tab.

  3. Click the client's booking to open its details.

  4. Click the Create Project button in the top right corner.

That's it! You'll be taken straight to the client's new project.

✨ Pro Tip: Once a booking has been converted, the Create Project button changes to View Project. This makes it easy to see which bookings already have a project, and jump right to it!

What's Included in the New Project

You'll also find the new project on your Projects page. The project is named after the service and the client (for example, Rehearsal Dinner Coverage - Michael Scott) and automatically includes:

  • Client: The client who booked the session

  • Schedule: The date, start time, and end time of their booked session

  • Project Source: Shows the project came from Scheduling

From here, you can add a gallery, contracts, questionnaires, and invoices, then click Send Project to share it with your client. 👍

Get Back to the Original Booking

Need to check the booking details again? Click the Scheduling link under Project Source on the project, and you'll be taken right back to the client's booking.
