Connecting to an Existing Stripe Account

How to connect to Stripe if you already have an account.

If you have an existing Stripe account, it's easy to connect that to your CloudSpot Store!


Connecting and Managing Your Stripe Account

Underneath the 'Set Up Payments' prompt, you'll see the option to connect an existing Stripe account. Navigate to Store > Payment Options from your dashboard.

Click on the link, and enter the email associated with your Stripe account. You'll be asked to sign in using your existing email and password.

Stripe will then send you a verification code, once you've entered that you'll hit 'Connect' and be taken back to CloudSpot. You're connected to Stripe and ready to make some sales! πŸ’ͺ

Key Notes

  • Updating your Stripe account will apply to all future transactions. Orders processed before the change will remain associated with the old account that was attached.

Updating Your Stripe Account Connection

If you find that the connected account isn't the one you wish to use, you can update it with the following steps:

  1. Go to the Store > Payment Options section in your CloudSpot dashboard.

  2. Look for an option to disconnect the current Stripe account. Follow the provided steps to remove the account.

  3. Once disconnected, a prompt will appear to connect a new account. Click on the prompt or appropriately labeled button.

  4. Log in with the credentials of your preferred Stripe account.

  5. Confirm the connection and ensure that the new account appears as the active one in the dashboard.

Verifying Your Connected Stripe Account

To confirm which Stripe account is connected to your CloudSpot Store:

  1. Access your CloudSpot dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Store > Payment Options.

  3. In the Payment Options section, you will see the details of the Stripe account currently connected for processing payments.
