β¨ HOW TO β¨
Tired of having to create a new Collection for your client when you book a Job in Dubsado manually? With Zapier, you can set up Dubsado and CloudSpot to take your workflows to another level! In this article, we'll show you how to create a new Collection when a Dubsado job is created automatically.
If you haven't already, you'll need to connect CloudSpot (and Dubsado) to your Zapier account in order to get this Zap started. Read more about how to do that here!
Once you've got your account connected, it's time to get started with creating your Zap. To begin, login to Zapier and click "Make a Zap" in your account dashboard.
π Setting Up Your Trigger π
We'll set up a Trigger that fires every time a new job is created in Dubsado. To do this, simply search for Dubsado in the Trigger search bar and select the icon when it comes up.
Choose the Trigger event called "New Project as Job". Selecting this option will initiate this Zap any time you create a job manually, with a Lead Capture Form, or when a Public Proposal Form is filled out. Once you've selected the "New Project as Job" option, click "Continue".
Select your Dubsado account when prompted, and click "Continue" again.
Finally, click "Test Trigger" to allow Zapier to pull some sample data from your Dubsado account. Then, click "Continue" when prompted.
π Setting Up Your Action π
Now that we have our Trigger set up, it's time to create an Action. We'll be focusing on how to create a Collection from a new Dubsado Job automatically. Simply search for CloudSpot in the Action search bar and select the icon when it comes up.
Choose the Action event called "Create New Collection". Selecting this option will automatically create a new Collection each time a Job is created in Dubsado. Once you've selected the "Create New Collection" option, click "Continue".
Select your CloudSpot account when prompted, and click "Continue" again.
From here, you can map out the necessary fields that you'd like to include with this new Collection. The only required field is "Collection Name", though we would also suggest adding in a date and any tags you may need as well.
Once you've finished mapping out your fields with the Job information, click "Continue".
You'll be prompted to test the connection to your CloudSpot account, which you can choose to do by clicking either "Test & Review" or "Test & Continue".
Once you've concluded testing, you'll be prompted to turn on your Zap at the bottom of the window, or the top right hand corner.
BOOM! You just set up your Zap! π π
Now, any Job created within Dubsado will automatically have a corresponding Collection created in CloudSpot!
