If you're having trouble uploading your photos, have no fear! There's usually a simple fix to get things running smoothly again. Let's dive in! πŸ§‘β€πŸ’»

Possible Causes of Failed Uploads

The most common cause of failed uploads is a caching issue in your browser. Troubleshooting this is fairly easy! First, open an Incognito/Private window. To do this, hit Command + Shift + N (Mac) or Control + Shift + N (Windows). Login to your CloudSpot account and try uploading a few images. You can also test this by opening a different browser than the one you're currently using and uploading photos there. If uploads are successful in the incognito window or another browser, then there is most likely a caching issue in your original browser, and you'll need to clear your site data.

Other Troubleshooting Methods

Another trick to get things running again is to restart your browser. To do that, right-click the browser icon in your taskbar and select 'Quit'. Reopen everything and try uploading a few images to your account.

Alternatively, you can restart your computer to fully wipe your memory cache. The interruption in power will wipe all data in the memory system, resolving any caching issues. πŸ™Œ

Another possible cause for failed or stalled uploads is an unstable network connection. We recommend using http://testmy.net to get a baseline on your upload speeds.

Here is an example of a connection that is very smooth and constant.

Here is an example of a not-so-good connection. You can see that the upload speed is choppy, slow, and unreliable. This will cause issues when trying to upload images.

Your internet speeds will vary based on your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and their bandwidth in your location. You'll want to see a smooth line like this graph above instead of several choppy peaks and valleys. Also, the file sizes and total amount of images you are uploading will also affect the total upload time.
