Galleries can be set expire on a certain date in the future. When a Gallery expires, it continues to exist on your account, but is no longer accessible to your client.
Leading up to expiration date, you can send clients an automated email reminder letting them know the Gallery will expire soon. Expiration reminders are a great way to remind clients to download their images or encourage them to purchase products from the Store! π
Expiration dates can be modified or removed at any time, reactivating the Gallery and making it available again. π
Set an Expiration Date
Expiration dates are set in your Gallery Settings under the Access tab.
Toggle on the Expiration ate setting and select the date you want the Gallery to expire.
Set an Expiration Reminder
Once the date is selected, you can opt to have an automated reminder sent out to a set number of days prior to expiration.
Note that if your gallery is set to expire the very next day, the option to send an expiration email will not appear. In order to enable email reminders, the expiration date must be at least two days away.
A default reminder template is already available in your account, but that can be customized to fit your voice and brand!
If Email Capture is enabled in the Gallery, you can set the reminder to go out to all Gallery visitors. Alternatively, you can have it sent only to specific emails:
Click Save Gallery once you've finished, and that expiration date will now be set!
What Do Clients See When a Gallery Has Expired?
If a Gallery link is accessed after the Expiration Date, the Gallery Cover Photo will still be shown with a message to your clients to reach out to you with any questions.
β
If they click or tap on the email address shown, their native email client will pop up allowing them to easily send you an email. βοΈ
