How to Set up a Gallery for Pre-release

Allow clients to register in a Gallery to be notified when the Gallery is live!

Do you have an event or session where you want clients to enter their name and email to be notified when the Gallery is live? If so, you've come to the right place!


Creating a Pre-release Gallery

To do this, you'll want to create a Collection for your session and then upload a graphic indicating that the images are coming soon!

Next, Publish a Gallery in this Collection. You'll want to turn off features like Display File Names and the Store. You'll also want to make sure the Enable Email Capture is turned ON in the Gallery Settings. This is a critical step to collecting visitor info!

Once Published, you'll have a Gallery like this!

You can provide that link to clients or attendees. You can even create a QR code using a free tool like QR Code Monkey. With that, you can create a graphic for folks to scan:


After the Event/Session

Once you have the photos uploaded, go into the Gallery Settings and remove the folder containing the place holder image and add the new folder(s). It's important to use the existing Gallery in this case, rather than create a new one.

Finally, head to your Analytics, click Select All and then Email Selected. Here's how:

And there you go! Everyone will receive your email letting them know that the Gallery is available for viewing.
