Once you have sent an Invoice to your client, you'll be able to keep track of the payment status. All Invoices can be viewed from the Invoices page in Studio. If the Invoice has been assigned to a Project, you'll be able to view it there as well.
What are Payment Statuses?
The payment status of an Invoice is indicated by the following terms:
Unpaid
Partially Paid
Paid in Full
Past Due
When an Invoice is first sent, it will have a status of Unpaid.
When your client makes a payment the status will update. If there are multiple payments in the Invoice, you will see the status change to Partially Paid until your client completes all of the payments. Whether there are 1, 3, or 10 payments - the status will only change to Paid in Full when your client has paid the total balance of the Invoice.
Where Can I See Payment Statuses?
There are multiple ways to view your Invoice payment statuses! They can be seen on the Invoices page and/or the Project page. The details of client payments can also be seen by going into the Invoice or Project. We'll cover all of this below!
Invoices Page
The payment statuses for all of your Invoices, whether they're assigned to a Project or not, will always be visible on the Invoices page.
Going into an Invoice, you will also see the status at the top of the page:
To view any payment details, just scroll down to payment history!
This is where you can see the individual payments your client has made and the payment method (credit card or ACH if paid online).
To view more details, like the collected fee, net amount, and payment ID, just click the arrow on the right-hand side.
This is also where you can refund a payment if needed!
Project Page
If an Invoice has been assigned to a Project, you can also see the payment status on your Projects page.
Viewing the Project details, you can go straight to the linked Invoice to view all of the information covered in the previous section.
