After uploading and organizing your images in a Collection, your next step will be to publish a beautiful, client-facing Gallery!

You may be wondering why Collections and Galleries are separate. Well, on CloudSpot, you can create multiple Galleries from a single set of images! 🤯

Is the florist asking for photos of the flowers? Does the event planner need photos of the decorations? Would you like to give the bride and groom a sneak peek of their ceremony photos? In each Gallery's Settings, you can control which Folders of images are visible - along with all other customizations!

Publishing a Gallery

To get started with publishing a Gallery, click the Publish button in the top right corner of your Collection.

This will open up the Gallery Settings. This is where you can customize how your Gallery looks, how it can be accessed, and more! We'll break it down for you. 👇

General

Gallery Name

The General tab holds some basic settings, such as the Gallery Name and URL. While the Collection name will be used by default, both the name and URL can be customized independently of the Collection and each other.

Portfolio

This section is also where you can set a Gallery to be displayed the your Portfolio. The Portfolio is a page where you can share Galleries of your choosing for anyone to view. This is a great way to share your favorite work with potential clients.

Folders to Display

Under this section, you can customize which Folders in the Collection you want visible in the Gallery. By default, all Folders in the Collection at the time of publishing the Gallery will be visible. If you need to remove any, simply deselect them by clicking the checkmark.

You can also rearrange the order Folders are displayed in by dragging and dropping:

Additionally, you can apply settings in bulk using the dropdown menu to the top right of the Folders section:

Call to Action Button

The Call to Action button is an incredibly versatile feature! This can be used to prompt clients to leave a review, link clients to your social media or website/blog, and so on. The possibilities for how you can use this button are endless!

When enabling the Call to Action button, you'll be prompted to enter a description (this is an optional fied), button text, and a link. On the right-hand side, you'll see a preview for how that button will look in the Gallery:

Embed Media

This setting allows you to include a video or slideshow in your gallery. CloudSpot doesn’t host the embedded content directly, but rather displays the media from the following sites:

  • SmartSlides

  • Animoto

  • Vimeo

  • YouTube

You can also use the Other URL to display media hosted on Google Drive or Canva - allowing clients to view and download those files directly within their Gallery.

Other

This last section in the General settings is where you can set the language for this particular Gallery. We currently support the following languages:

  • English

  • Dutch

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Portuguese

  • Russian

  • Spanish

  • Swedish

  • Vietnamese

You'll also see an option for Social Media Sharing. When enabled, your client will see a share button in their Gallery. This allows them to easily share the Gallery link or a direct image link to social media, via email, or through text when viewing on mobile. This type of sharing always directs back to their gallery, so there's no need to worry about the files themselves being sent out. Social Media Sharing is a quick and easy way to empower your clients to share the photos they love!
